2nd Knee Replacement

Good morning everyone. I am recovering from a recent knee replacement operation (12th June). This is my 2nd one as I wore the first one out after 10 years. My recovery this time around seems very slow and I am in a great deal of pain.

My knee is still very swollen and due to the tourniquet being used during the operation, the nerves in my thigh are still not functioning and effectively I am carrying a dead leg around. My mobility is really poor and can hobble around the house with crutches, but for outside trips I have been using a wheelchair.

I just wondered if anyone else had had similar problems and how they manage to overcome them - any information/advice would be gratefully received.

Thank you - Grannyshiraz

First off all glad the op went well, I've been lucky so far no surgery but my time will come and for you it will take time but eventually you will get there so enjoy the rest and don't push yourself too much too soon xxx
