I read it's an anti- inflammatory powerhouse.

Add cucumber to the celery juicing... The combination is supposed to be anti inflammatory 😊

One word...yuk! I loathe celery, so I won't be stealing it from your kitchen.

Why celery juice?

ragurl profile image
ragurlβ€’ in reply toEtostar

I read it was anti-inflammatory and I just came out of a hard crash with meds. Made me open to small dietary changes for first time of 29 years with disease. Also after being on meds I have mild gastritis- it's suppose to help with gut health. We will see.

Good idea with cellery juicing. Cellery has shown to be very anti estrogenic and ecess estrogen is inflammatory and a culprit in inflammatory diseases. Good luck!

Is HRT good for RA? my doctor is trying to get me off it

Supplementing with natural progesterone is good for RA. Don't know what regime you are on and what hormons you are using but your doc is probably on the right track, in my opinion.

I am on 100mg natural progesterone for 8-10 days every month. I am 49 was experiencing hot flashes, insomnia and progesterone is helping for now. Not sure what you are on and why? I think it lhas everything to why?Perimenopause has been challenging -my RA wants to flare every month a couple days before my cycle

The reason for these symptoms before menses is the drop in progesterone and estrogen taking over. Supplementing with progesterone, helps with PMS symptoms as well as with the inflammatory effect of estrogen. I am postmenopausal and am supplementing to support my metabolism in different ways as well as keeping the estrogen dominance down.

You can just believe and hope on the effect of meds and diets or you can do research and get a better understanding what and why different treatments can help you in your situation. I personally feel to be more in charge when I gain information as much as possible, it helps me to accept the illness and feel less stress.

Very interesting !

I hate it as juice and raw. Makes me heave. Enjoy it cooked and blended with tomatoes...delicious tomato sauce.

I managed to get my young daughter off methotrexate and into remission for 2 years by daily juicing of ginger, celery, pineapple, cucumber, carrot, spinach etc etc! Then 2 years on I got slack, she did GCSEs and had a big flare!

We are now back to daily juicing and things are starting to improve. Keep it up!

Perhaps some variety would be good πŸ˜‚

I adore celery! Juice it, roast it, add to a yummy stir fry or eaten raw (nice chopped up with an apple too). Very good for fighting inflammation. Well done and thanks for sharing 😊
