Anyone else having problems keeping Methotrexate under 25 degrees? Pharmacist says not to put them in the fridge, and he doesn't think it would get that hot. I find myself moving them around the house to find cooler places as they have hit 30. .......of course I could get a new thermometer.

Keeping Methotraxate under 25 degrees
I keep mine in dark cupboard in the coolest room in the house. Even tho' 30+ outdoors it stays well under 25 degrees. Your house must be an oven to get that hot as I didn't think it was excessivly hot in UK? Or your thermometer is bust?
It has been 28C inside my house the last few days despite closing curtains and blinds. It is well insulated but once it gets hot it tends to stay hot.
A few years ago when we had a spell of really hot weather we were advised to put it in the fridge. I've done it when I've been away and had no problems. Just get it up to room temperature before injecting.
Interesting Paula, as pharmacist says not to put it in the fridge. Will try asking another one . Rheumy nurse doesn't know
Medac rep will find out and get back to me
I've just used it anyways. It's room temperature and I'm guessing Scotland's heatwave won't last overly long and it'll all be back to normal soon enough! Lol M x
Rooms on the North side of the house will be cooler.
