I'm glad you enjoyed your swim, I'm a relative beginner too, good days and bad days, make the most of the good says.

Are you in the UK? ‘Cos, it’s barely summer, so you must be cold .....

Oops, maybe you’re swimming indoors? Soz from OZ - usually equate swimming with outside/sea.

Glad you enjoyed your swim, hope the MTX continues to work, cheers Deb :)

Ha definitely indoors uk never gets hot enough for me to swim outside maybe 30yrs ago nice one

Good to hear. I swim 3 days a week in local pool: keeps me sane, no really! I felt so sick in early days i virtually stopped but bar 1 day after mtx day, i'm ok now tho' don't do as much as i used to. Mtx must be working as less fatigue now too. I got so depressed when first diagnosed July last year and felt so ill but nearly a year on definite improvement, baby steps till then. Take care x

That gives me hope as I'm terrified to try this drug. Supposed to have started 3 month's ago and still lying in my draw untouched. Am I being foolish?

Well you can give it a go i guess, everyone's different on here. Surprised rheumatology havent contacted you as it's blood tests every 2 weeks, then monthly if you're on it? Up to you: you could use search bar top right for Mtx side effects, may be more balanced results than me, good luck x

Hello I am supposed to have started MTX a while ago but as mentioned by u I don't want to feel sick. When u say u feel sick what exactly does it mean? Any advice u can give me will be appreciated. Has it helped u in any way u have noticed? I need help.

I don't want to feel sick in mornings and tired all the time and still have a bit of pain. Maybe my pain isn't bad enough and that is why I feel this way. There must be another way.

Swimming is excellent exercise, good for you. Even just walking in the pool is helpful for the lower joints, within your depth of course!

I hope MTX works well for you. I'm 9 years in & it's been the best med, keeps me moving that's for sure. It sounds as though anticipation of taking your MTX is causing you to feel unwell? Maybe the swimming is taking your mind off it somewhat, which can only be good. Remember to up your water intake on Thursdays, that can help ease symptoms, an increase in folic acid too if you're not on max dose. You should be noticing benefits by now being 10 weeks in, I hope you are anyway because that helps too, seeing differences. 🙂
