I have been trying to renew my Blue Badge for over a month now. Sefton council will not take cash only a bankers order the badge is £10 the bank want £12 for this. I just spoke to Damien Moore MP for Southport and asked why we cannot pay online to be told cos we don't. I asked to speak to my MP and was told I have NO legal right to THIS.

Blue Badge Payment
I got results by emailing my MP.
Got his local party office phone number & asked for his email address.
Some Civil Servants,as we are seeing in the Windrush enquiry, exceed their authority with disastrous results.
Be polite but firm & state your case......sounds like some job's worth is making up his own rule!
Hi, I've just had a quick look at Sefton Council website and they accept cheque, postal order or online payment. You can also make payment at the One Stop Shop. Here's a link to their website sefton.gov.uk/parking,-road... I hope this is of some use to you.
I had to phone up to pay for my BB from the local council office (their phone .. no payment to use it) and then pay over the phone with my card. That was Kirklees last year. Seemed easy enough. Sorry you have got some awkward people who wont make it easier for you. You'd think with people having disabilities and needing a blue badge that online is the most sensible way for those who can't get out easily. Hmmm. Good luck.
