I have my first ever infusion on Tuesday. Have been off embrel now for 2 weeks. It was starting to lose efficacy but now I’ve not taken at all for 2 weeks I definitely know it was still working. . I’m laid up. !
What would have happened before all these drugs .. how lucky are we??!
Have taken some steroids and naproxen on the advice of rhuemy nurse to tide me over. Will report back and let you know how it goes and for anyone else wanting to know who is still undecided. .. wish me luck TT X
I wish you all the luck in the world, obviously. Someone I know has been on Rituximab for some years now and it's given her her life back. Raising her family, running her own business and enjoying a wonderful normal life. These newer drugs are amazing and I give thanks we are able to get them. Hugs

Im in the same position, had to have a steroid jab but still needing 20 mg prednisone to keep everything back. What dose are u taking?
Well the nurse said to take 4 x 5mg - (20 mg )tablets a day with naproxen (500mg) all with a little magical pill of omeprozole.. morning and eve to knock it all back. Until Tuesday.. Seem better this morning just like the tin man in wizard of oz. which is almost normal in my eyes!! Are you having the infusion too yogi bear?

Best wishes Tess for Tuesday 😀 im hopefully having my 4 th set of infusions on Friday. It has also given me my life back . Go with a good book and a cardigan incase you feel cold at any point. I ask for a slow infusion as i cope with it better. Be prepared for a week of fatigue and possible nausea . If you have any problems afterwards do see the doctor or phone the rheumy Nurse straight away. Best wishes and di let us know how you get on xx

Go for something easy to watch as you will have lots of interruptions as nurse checks your bp and infusion rate 🌸
