I have had burning and painful skin over the last few weeks. Just wondering if this is connected to RA or is it something else.

Burning skin
Oooh that sounds nasty. I'm always cold so can't share your experience and reckon I would be calling the GP for professional advice.

Could be peripheral neuropathy which can be related to RA - but more often relates to Sjögren’s. Best see a doctor to confirm though as could also be med related.
Hi Twitchytoes
Thank you for your reply.
I have had the sjogrens test and was negative although I have all symptoms.
When I next see my GP I will mention this to them.
I see my consultant next in August but I found them not very helpful at my last appointment. So have no confidence in them.
Which Sjögren’s test was that? I was diagnosed by lip biopsy but my ANA is clear positive too although not everyone’s is. Turns out my seronegative Sjögren’s imitated RA extremely well before the neuropathy kicked in.
I didn’t have a lip test just a blood test.
A friend of mine says she thinks I have sjogrens. As I am always thirsty. Also eyes are dry too.
The lip biopsy is more definitive than bloods. Might be worth pushing for if you really want to know. The UK Sjögren’s expert told me that only people with longstanding RA tend to develop secondary Sjögren’s. I
