Hi I had my thumb joints done yesterday I must confess it still sore but I can now move it and it's not stuck inside the palm . Hope all goes well 👍
Hi there! Had my finger injected recently. Numbing spray used ( very cold), it was fine as I knew I needed relief. Following 3 days made it worse ( just think it was the body reacting to something being done), then there has been a very gradual improvement day by day. I probably couldn’t be sure it was improving until 2 weeks but now 5 weeks in it has definitely helped. Rheumatologist said full relief by 6 weeks and I have a follow up appointment at the 8 week point. You will be fine and remind yourself that we are very lucky to have the NHS services available to us! Best of luck. Let me know how you get on.
My friend had them dine last week. She reported the injection as being pain free but then had awful pain in her hands fir the next two days- all good now though and she said she already feels the benefits.
Deep breath and best of luck
Marie
Had some joints done. The pain is definately worth the gain. Take someone with you....plan to go for cuppa afterwards. All the best.
Finally a topic I can add positive feedback to. I have had several injections in past five years. Fingers, thumbs and shoulders. It works great for me. It has been years since last injections but now considering doing it again. It dramatically improves my mobility as I get locked joints.
