There's Light at the end of the Tunnel

After a year of feeling crap and losing 4 stones, due to taking Methotrexate and Sulfasalazine and this horrible disease, there is light at the end of the tunnel I hope. I started self injecting 4 weeks ago with Erelzi (50mg Etanercept once a week) what a difference. The swelling in my wrists and ankles has subsided a bit and the fatigue isn't as bad. I have also cut back on my painkillers. The stiffness in my joints still takes a couple of hours to ease in the mornings . I never thought I'd see the day I'd look forward to a Friday because I'm giving myself an injection. Here's hoping I don't take an allergic reaction to this drug.

Hello Jim, I am so pleased for you. I remember the first 11 months living with RA(2009 onward). Pain, fatigue, frustration etc. Then I got the right drug mixture and never looked back. In remission, so I lead a normal life with very few restrictions. Even reduced drugs and off sulfasalazine. I very much hope you'll go the same way. Keep in touch. All the best my friend.
