I can see light at the end of the tunnel. I have finally come to a point in my life where I can close another chapter in my story. I have been going to school pursuing my undergraduate degree for 20 years. Life happens. As a result, I started and stopped pursuing my degree numerous times. Well, on December 16, 2017, I will walk across the stage to receive my degree. I thought that this day would never come. I am excited, nervous, anxious and elated all at the same time. I'm not going think about what's next for me. I will take the time to revel in this moment of my life. It's been a long time coming on my journey, but I am extremely thankful and grateful that I was blessed to have the health to complete this huge accomplishment. I am grateful to my husband for his unwavering encouragement and support. God knew who I needed in my life to support me. I refuse to allow Lupus to stop me from fulfilling my dreams. My graduation gives me hope for a brighter future. I whole-heartedly welcome the next chapter in my story!

Light At the End Of the Tunnel
Hi
I am so pleased for what you have accomplish this achievement and receive your degree.
You were so fortunate that you had a partner who supported you through it.
My partner was the opposite he wanted me to fail. But I was determined to finish and gained 2:2 which I was over the moon with as I never thought in a million year I would ever receive a degree.
Well done you
Matilda_22,
Yes, I am blessed to have a supportive husband. Although your husband did not want the best for you, I am extremely glad to know that you did not allow him to stop you from reaching your goal and receiving your degree! Kudos to you! I wish you all the best now and in any future endeavors!

Well done you good luck for the future. All your family and friends must be very proud of you. xxx
A big well done! Just proves if you have the wherewithal & support from those around you anything can be achieved. I hope you can enjoy your day & the celebrations without too many problems.
Just as an aside, I wonder if this post was actually meant for the HU Lupus site? It's just I didn't recognise you & see your posts previously have all been Lupus related. I'd hate for you to think your friends over there can't share your news, if you're not aware this is the NRAS site that is.
No More Heels,
Thank you! I plan on getting plenty rest the day before my graduation. Even if I have to be pushed in a wheelchair across the stage, I will cross the stage! I will also post in the other group. However, I thank you for your encouragement!

Thank you! It has been rough. I almost gave up when I got really sick last year. But, my faith was strengthened and I was able to continue on.
Congratulations. That is something to truly feel great about. ☺️🎉
