I just wanted to share a picture of my Easter cake. I made this at my sugarcraft class last night. The reason I'm sharing isn't just because I'm proud but because 6 months ago I couldn't even walk, dress or wash myself. After starting treatment with RoActemra I now have the use of my hands back. Loving my new hobby ๐

Absolutely blummin brilliant that is!
Hope it tastes as good as it looks.

It's a lemon madeira with vanilla buttercream. Not very good for my diet but blooming tasty!
Wow that's fantastic. Hope you enjoy eating it. X

Thanks Ajay x
Brilliant cake and so good to hear how much better you are. What a great hobby x
That's fantastic Paula! What better way of showing you're giving RD a kicking. Seems a shame to cut into it but sure it'll taste as good as it looks.
Adorable and so glad how you are feeling. That is awesome.
Super cake, love it x
Wow thatโs amazing! Well done ๐
It's a shame to cut it and poor bunny off with his head lovely cake well done you ๐๐ฒ
Haha I did feel sad but soon stopped when I tasted the icing lol x
A heartwarming story
How wonderful for you. What a brilliant cake, and all those healthy carrots!
You have a point there. It's got to be worth one of my 5 a day at least? Virtually a health food!
Fabulous cake!
Gosh but you are a talented lady and with such heart-warming news too. That's made my day

It's the first model I've made Gnarli but am now dying to make another. x
Awesome job! What a testament as well!
Can I have a piece? Looks so yummy! ๐
Ahh I wish I could share it with all of you but sadly it's only me with a cake belly x
It looks incredibly professional. And what a great story too! You could start a little business!
Wouldn't that be lovely. I need a lot more practice first though as this was my first cake lol. It's my daughter's wedding soon though so I offered to make another and give Bugsy a veil. Wonder why she said no thanks? x
Well done , looks great and so inspiring for all of us that canโt see the light at the end of this foggy tunnel, enjoy x
Thanks, we all need a bit of positive news sometimes x
Beautiful! And such an achievement. Great to hear positive stories xx

Wow thatโs great and also giving the rest of us who are still suffering hope at the end of this journey x
Fabulous x
Wow! That's fantastic.
Best cake ever! And what a great way to celebrate getting your hands back in use...an inspiration.
CONGRATULATIONS! And what a magnificent way to celebrate! Now, where did I put my fork....
Adorable cake! I think it's very unkind for you to dangle that beauty in front of us with no ability to share! Congrats on having your hands back and the talent to make that cake. Just don't come around here in 6 months complaining about all the weight you have gained.
Haha yes the downside is having to dispose of all the cake. My neighbours were happy today though x
Amazing! So happy for your progress with your meds. Cake looks adorable and you had me with lemon! Yum! Happy Easter!
Happy Easter x
It's a wow from me too. So pleased you are feeling better. What a huge difference the right treatment makes! long may it continue working for you x
Incredible! Such talent
Thank you x
Amazing, great to hear that you are feeling much better.
A lovely, very artistic cake, can see had taken hours in stages to decorate!! Too lovely too eat. You should feel proud having a talent in cake-making.
Pamela xx
Fantastic achievements like this can do you more good than any medication, however in your case the medication works too. Seems like a miracle drug - what type of drug is it and what does it do?
Hi Shelly, RoActemra is an IL6 inhibitor. My consultant thought it would suit me as my ra is aggressive and my inflammation rises rapidly. Here's a link which explains nras.org.uk/what-is-roactem...
Hopefully it works for a while. I have in combination with 10mg methotrexate by injection. I'm a dab hand with needles now.
So fun! Beautiful!
Wow Amazing cake such detail
