Was at one time, but no longer, Annie122. 👍👍

Yes, was extremely exhausted 😴/ fatigued 🤤 .

Physician 👨‍⚕️ prescribed, high-dose Vitamin D/ hormone 💊 (for set amount of time) followed by a ‘maintenance dose’ Vit. D helped alleviate exhaustion/ fatigue (along with other changes).

If interested, Annie122, more than you ever wanted to know about Vitamin D/ hormone 💊 🌞 : healthunlocked.com/cure-art....

Best wishes. 😌 🙏 🍀 🌺 🌞

Following a routine blood test GP said I was deficient in vit d despite it being the end of summer/early autumn and spending as much time as possible outside in sunshine. I put the feeling of being down and lethargic to the RA and not looking forward to winter. Wrong. I bought a vit d3 spray and had a better winter, mood wise, than usual

Yes. I was diagnosed with low Vitamin D before RA. I have been taking suppliments for 5 years. Vitamin d is OK now, but still have to take suppliments to maintain.

I am on vitamin D 2000iu per day. I was severely low vit D and I was not digesting or processing foods efficiently. I feel I have more energy now as I am utilizing the food I eat more productively. I also think my hair is growing back in thicker now too 😀. I am also a little less agitated / irritable now that my levels are coming back up.

My rheumatologist found I had low vitamin D and low thyroid. He has told me that RA affects how we digest food and it’s important to take probiotics every day

Hi Annie 122, Most people with an Auto Immune Disorder will be deficient in Vit D. Maintenance dose, maybe for life, is vital.

A check on my vit D is included in a blood test I'll be having next week. I feel like a vampire as I need to avoid the sun because of a skin condition, so will be surprised if my vit D isn't well into the red zone.

I was seriously deficient in Vit D but I don’t think it made me particularly tired. I also have anaemia but I don’t think that makes me tired either-I guess I’m just odd!

Yes, hospital tested me and said low so am now on high dose vit d and calcium called Fultium. I felt very tired before and still do but have had endless infections and complications so my poor body hasn’t had a chance to get back to a ‘normal ‘ balance. So I don’t really have a view yet on whether it helps- but it does need to be supplemented if low. Rheumatology nurse told me vit d has key role as your body will not be able to absorb enough calcium for healthy bones if vit d too low

Hi

When I first developed joint pain and was sent to Rheumatology at my local hospital. They came back and said my vitamin d score was very low. I did not have symptoms like tiredness etc.

Hi Annie 122. I went privately to see a rheumatologist and he put e on very high doses of vitamin D". He said that being I was on Plaquenil there wasn't much more he could give to help my c t d. I've been on them over. Year now. I can't really ray if I feel any better taking them as I've had so many flare ups in the last year, but he bid say that everyone in the uk should take a lower dose as we don't get much sunshine. Hope this can help. Suzanne

Hello everyone. I had the same and got referred privately to a rheumatologist and I was told exactly the same. But he informed my doctor to put me on high doses of vitamin D. I don't feel any difference but I have to add we've had a wonderful summer and this year the first in the last 5 years that I have been able to enjoy it thanks for listening. Suzannej.xxx

I was once very vit D deficient. I had slightly raised calcium also. Turned out I had over active para thyroid due to a small tumor on my para thyroid. I had bone pain, fatigue, frequent urination, confusion and just didn’t feel good. I had a para thyroidectomy. Hope you feel better soon.
