Snow day!

Took me two hours to get to work yesterday, most of it spent getting out of my town, got to A12 and it was completely clear! Barely any snow at work either. Today we woke up to about a foot of snow and school is closed ⛄️😁

I was stuck on the A133 coming out of Clacton for over an hour, A120 wasn’t as bad, luckily I managed to get to work before the 17 car accident yesterday. 🙂

I live south Essex snow wasn't too bad yesterday but today is another matter. Over 2 hours to work. Walking to the bus stop slipped and fell onto all 4s. No buses so walked back home. Drove to work at 5 miles per hour. Arrived 9:10 should be 20 minutes.

I now know why I don't drive in rush hour. My poor knee was so painful each time start stop in traffic jam.

I finish at 3 let's hope it's a bit better going home.

Hopefully the roads will be clearer. It only took 35 mins to get home yesterday 🤞

It’s a pretty tuff time for people at the moment that have to go to work in this weather and so many accidents are happening up and down the country. I am pleased to hear that all is well with you. Please be careful driving back home from work today. Love and hugs 🤗🤗🌹🌹😘😘👍

We were having a mild winter in Vancouver, Canada. I enjoyed bragging to my family (who were suffering a harsh winter in Ottawa) about how I only needed a sweater ..... I even decided to take my dahlia plants out of winter storage.. I guess I was a little too smug because once all my plants were potted, we had an Arctic front hit us and cover us in 8 inches of snow!!! Let me tell you, Karma sucks!!! lol

Oh poor you. Flippin heck but I hate snow. I'm going nowhere til it's gone as it's currently over 6 inches deep and halfway up the dog. She's gone right off it too, won't go far on her walk and cries pitifully after 10 minutes. I hope storm Emma leaves you alone. Hugs

Oh no, not poor me...Poor you. I just googled storm Emma and all I can say is "Oh my, how awful!!"..... gosh, I feel like a fool complaining about 8 inches of snowfall that fell overnight. Our city snow removal cleared the roads by the morning...we had no problems driving our roads, and all traces of snow disappeared after 2 days. I hope you are warm and safe.

It has to be said. We Brits are useless with snow. Only 8 inches fell here after all the warnings of 'Snowmageddon'. Nothing properly cleared still and off the main roads it's like a skid pan, trains, buses and airports cancelling trips. The temperature round here is now above zero and we're due rain later. We're a lot better off here than some places where the drifts are reaching 9 feet.

We Vancouverites are too smug when driving in the snow. I hate to admit it, but because it doesn't snow every year,, the majority of people here don't winterize their cars. Our attitude is " We live in the warmest winter climate in all of Canada, why should we buy snowtires?" ....This arrogance ( I should also say, Stupidity ) has made our city the worst winter drivers in all of Canada.... A title we aren't proud of, but.... we don't seem to want to change...

I’m at work and it seems to be getting worse, I’m hoping we’ll close and get to go home soon!

We do too, we were open yesterday but the school closed after lunch. I don’t get why councils don’t grit the roads near schools.
