I had ankle fusion surgery almost 9 months ago and in more pain now then before and right after surgery! I can hardly weight bear and it is still really swollen! The pain is constant and nothing helps, ice, elevation and pain relievers! At 6 month checkup bone had not fussed yet! What's I can I do next?

Oh LizaJane I'm so sorry- that's awful for you. I had a hip operation a few years ago and my bones took so long to mend I'd almost given up hope of fusion. But, after much pain, they did. Hang in there- things will get better xx

Oh no, how awful for you. I was drawn to your message because ankle fusion has been mentioned to me. So far I’ve had two steroid injections- the first one worked for about four months, the second not at all! I’m hoping for a third chance before I go down the fusion road. Hope you begin to mend soon.
