Another cold night at work

Well another cold night at work everyone in bed ere except me and had get taxi in as the gritter don't come down our street so sheet of ice poor car stayed on the drive since Friday and taxi got stuck on ice costs £18.00 a shift for taxi so angry at council to much trouble to keep roads safe xx😖

We don't like it when the council rates go up but we complain when the services get reduced. No easy solution. We don't get bad weather often enough to allocate the money to road clearance ahead of things like care for the elderly.

Sounds like here. In snow or ice, the main roads and highways get salted and cleaned, but our side road just has to melt. It is frustrating for sure...
