Just wondering if anyone knows this? I work in a school, where today the kids are all receiving their nasal flu spray, am I ok to be around them today considering it's a live virus?

I'm on 20mg mtx? I've found online advice regarding ur own child receiving it but not anything about being in contact with about 200 getting it at the same time!!

I've had my flu jab but also read the jab only protects against 3 strains where the live vaccine contains 4.

NRAS produced some advice too, based mainly on expert advice as there is little evidence yet to base definitive advice on.

Yes NRAS have advice on their website.

I was told a couple of years ago to avoid those receiving the Flu Nasal Spray for about 4 or 5 days. I always have my flu jab 2 weeks before the kids have their Sprays.

In our area those receiving the Spray has been extended to year 4.

I stayed in work, maybe I shouldn't have but with other things going on right now I didn't want to upset the apple cart so to speak!

I just took extra care with hand sanitizer etc. Unfortunately I can't avoid being around it completely as my son received it too!

Suppose there will always be risks with things and some are just unavoidable, thanks everyone,
