Personally I would start it on a different day to the methotrexate as the side effects from the methotrexate might overwhelm how you feel on the leflunomide.
I used to take LEF in the evenings. I've always injected my MTX in the mornings. That's just how it worked out. I collected my first LEF script after I'd taken my morning meds so took it with my evening ones, no other reason. I can't honestly remember if I started it the same day as I inject but me being me would have just done it anyway as I rarely react negatively to a new med. So I guess that's my reply, if you usually react to a new med don't take it the same day as your MTX.
I really hope LEF helps you Marie. I had to stop it only recently though I gave it a good go. x
Thanks NMH, you and me both ! As much as I’m nit happy at yet another heavy hitting med, I’ll do anything suggested to slow thus down.
I took enbrel today so thought I’d take Mtx tomorrow and the LEF the next day. Not that I’d expect to react badly but just easier to get my head around.
I’ve just booked another trip to Budapest for the summer - we all fell in love with the place! Cheers me up in the Dave of so many tablets, injections, bloods......
I think that's a plan, a few days won't hurt & by next Monday you'll feel taking them the same day as MTX, that should give your body a little time to adjust. Are you starting on 10mg or 20?
I'm really pleased you enjoyed Budapest. It was one of my mum in law's favourite places. We al need something to look forward to, will you, your sisters & daughters all go together again next time?
Thats good to hear. It’s nice to have a more settled period- if even for a little while.
Yes, my sisters , nieces and nephew as well as my girls, are going. There’s a big musical festival that my 14 year old wants to go too fir the day- makes me feel old!
You’re right, if the meds feel fine this week, I’ll take them together next week.
