Hi everyone

I am Meegan 54years and I think on my 48th infusion of Actemra.

I have tried every drug available for my RA and this works.. .sort of...does anyone else feel they have gained heaps of weight but their eating patterns should be doing the adverse, or has your cholesterol go E out of control???

Hi Megan, I'm glad to hear the Actemra has helped you. I'm about to start RoActemra injections. I hope I don't gain weight as I'm already really good at doing that without help.

I noticed it can cause high cholesterol and recommended cholesterol checks every month. As I'm on mtx I have monthly blood testing so that's not really a problem.

I was worried to read it can cause swollen ankles, have you found this to be a problem?

I too have blood tests regularly but the last few months have proven very high cholesterol results so just waiting for my Rheumatologist to get back to me on the way this should be treated

Swollen ankles...hmmmm... I have just had 10 weeks immobile with some sort of unexplained excruciating swollen ankle, I am still to have my second aspiration to see what maybe the problem .

Overall Actemra is the only drug that helps me, I have had..

Arava, Plaquenil, Methotrexate, Enbrel, Humira, Orencia, Z ??? can't remember the name 🤔
