Have anyone ever experienced Brusing on the inside of the mouth, both cheeks?. I recently was taken off methotexate. I'm now taken folic acid 1mg tablet daily and hydroxychloroquine 200mg 2 tablets daily. Since I was recently diagnosed with this I'm trying to see if anyone else have had this problem.

Check with your GP but I'd be surprised if you need to continue with folate if you are no longer on MTX.
Hiya Dalew. In 8 years of taking MTX I've never experienced bruising on the inside of my mouth, elsewhere but not there. Maybe now you've stopped it you'll see if it was that or something else that's causing it. Have you told your Rheumy about it?
As an aside, have you not been told to stop your folic acid? It's generally only needed when taking MTX, unless you're anaemic? I think you'd better ask if you need it with HCQ.
Been on MTX for 5 weeks now...no mouth bruising...some sores.
I hope the bruising subsides since you've stopped MTX.
My worst side effect right now is hair loss. So I'm considering switching to leflunomide (per Rheumy's advice).
I think dry mouth can be a symptom of most meds, I hope this is what you are discribing! I have found biotene for dry mouth symptoms! I never endorse any product, but I keep it on my night stand and use it anytime that I can't seem to go to sleep because I am thirsty! Please drink water till you can't then try Biotine, maybe I should ask for an enforcement contract! I really helps,
Thanks all for the suggestions. The bruising went away. But my Dr. Didn't know what was causing it. The Methotrexate was stopped because my anemia was very low. I've since got my numbers back up. So I'm back on Methotrexate and now dealing with hair loss. Have anyone found a solution to stop the hair loss. I'm new to this auto immune disease and on top of this I have thyroid problems. I stay in constant pain. Nothing seems to help. I try and push through the pain but it's hell.
