Are you still MTX? If you have bad blood results and a water infection you should have been told to stop. I've probably said before, on other posts, that MTX gave me the liver of an alcoholic, but once stopped things returned to normal. Hopefully, it will be the same for you and they can change you to another med such as a Biologic. Good Luck. xo

I am sending you the biggest, gentlest bear hug!

I totally understand your fear....Just a thought that ran through my mind after reading your post. I want to share it with you....Let's look at this liver scan as a glass half full....I think it is fantastic that your doctors are on "the ball" . Your doctors want to look at your liver. They think something is "not quite right" and they want to "nip it in the bud" so they can help you live a long life.

I am sending you another bear hug.

wishing you well,

Suexx

I reckon Sue has it about right. It's better that your doctors are being so super-cautious and testing for something that may or may not be a problem rather than let things reveal themselves further down the line. Please let us know how you get on. Hugs

Thank you 😊 xx

Good luck with the scan Deejojo. I agree with Sue that you should try to be reassured that your medical team are in a good place to prevent any problems before they happen. Hugs from me too x

Try not to worry Denise. I would think as you're on a drugs trial they'll be right on top of the teeniest thing they consider to be a possible anomaly as a result of the two meds you've been asked to take. If you're really worried contact your research team, they should be able to explain the reason you're needing to have a liver scan.

Just as aside, have you had any alcohol recently, either the day/night before a blood test?

Not what you're looking for?
