Is the Finasteride (propecia) prescribed or are you buying it otc? I don't think it's contraindicated with MTX but if it's prescribed you should ask your GP really. Or, if you bought it otc ask where you bought it from, the duty Pharmacist should know.

Ive rang chemist but he said ring doctor but engaged so I rang helpline long wait to speak to someone so I thought I'd try on here on the off chance someone might be able to help

As Beverley says we're not medically qualified & you do really need to be sure. Was it the pharmacist or a pharmacy assistant who said to ring your doctor? If the latter ask to speak to the pharmacist, they know meds inside out. Or any other pharmacist should know, if you have another chemist locally you could ask at.
