It can be a difficult one to manage, but make sure you're taking the folic acid on the non injecting days and I try do my injection before bed so that I can sleep through the worst of it. Good luck

Hi I tried your suggestion of injecting before bed but woke up feeling very sick. So don't think that works for me. I am starting to feel less nauseous taking folic acid everyday. Thank you

Maybe you need to increase your folic acid. How much do you take?

Interestingly I wasn't advised to take folic acid with the injections just when I was taking the tablets. I have 'phoned the rheumatology nurse for their advice too but haven't heard back yet.

folic acid reduce the side effects of MTX, pill form or tablets. Every country has it's own standard on how much folic acid. I'm in North America and it is not ununsual to take folic acid 7 days aweek.

I'm on injections too, definitely need the folic acid. I also have fresh ginger in water throughout the day of the injection and some the next.

Hello Pamak, so sorry we share this problem. The MTX also gives me nausea. In addition I have a long history of migraines. I use a vaporizer. I started with cannabis but now use oil as it is more economical.

There are many options via compassion club. Eatables, powder, oils etc. It is also a natural anti inflammatory. Great option when you cannot tolerate pharmaceuticals.

Interesting but cannabis isn't available in th UK. What is compassion club?

It is clubs which provide cannabis and related products. I belong to several and they also have a wellness centre for natural remedies.

The Arthritis Foundation has made the study of medicinal cannabis the focus for 2017. Canada and many US states have now legalized access but medicinal has been available for quite sometime. There are other properties of cannabis like BCD powder which has reversed stage four cancer.

It is amazing but pharmaceutical companies will fight it.

I take anti sickness meds when needed which help along with Folic acid. Hope this helps.

I am supposed to start weekly injection because the pills make me so nauseous and sick the first day every week . I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing nausea with the injection. Feel better.👍

Morning. Injections made me really poorly so went back onto the pills. I take an anti-emetic about an hour before I take my MX to help with nausea. It works but tastes disgusting… I take folic the other 6 days.. I’d ask your doctor.

Just noticed you posted this a few years ago!! It’s just come up on my news feed 😆

Yes just after being diagnosed. Thank you for your advice. I take folic acid 6days a week but I’m on Jak inhibitors too now and make me nauseous as well. 😢
