I suffer from morning stiffness in my hands and feet. Does anyone have any tips for how to get my joint going as fast as possible?
Currently it takes me around one hour to really get them going, not that I can't use them before they are just...well stiff.
And since I have never really been a morning person this causes me a bit of a problem with having to get really early in order to get ready for work in time.
Hoping someone have some tips for making this easier
I have been doing some research on stiffness in RA. Have wondered what causes it. The best explanation by Ray Peat that it is caused by lactic acid. One way to decerease lactic acid is supplementing with MSM like many sports people do for the same reason. Have been supplementing now for a while and do think there is a difference.😊
Medication as soon as you get up and wake for it to kick in. I also do some stretching in the morning. Unfortunately, my "morning" stiffness can last hours, so these are the only things that actual minimise the stiffness.
Hot water helps- unfortunately it takes me a lot of stretching etc to be able to get out of bed! I've not found anything that helps much. If anyone has any ideas I'd be interested too x
I am awful in the morning too. My whole body is stiff. I have to force myself out of bed to walk the dog. A hot shower helps.
Thanks a lot for all your suggestions. Will try them out.
For now I only cope by having mastered to do makeup ( so I don't scare anyone by looking like death) in less than 5 minutes before "running" out the door 😁
i know I could set the alarm earlier, but not beeing a morbing person I simply don't find it acceptable to have to wake at 5 am😳
