Leg vibrating like a mobile under skin on silent.
I sometimes get the mobile phone thing, it's such a strange feeling. If you look it up, you will be told that it's MS or something worse but in my case, I don't think it is anything to worry about. It happens for a few days every now and again (obv your experience is different). I'm not worried about it but get it checked if you are. It's frustrating that sometimes there are no answers.
Hiya Simon. I replied earlier to your introductory post! Seems to me you've similar symptoms to what I've just been diagnosed with so you may want to discuss them with your Rheumy or nurse. I'll start as you have with your hand, this sounds as though it could be carpal tunnel syndrome arthritisresearchuk.org/art.... As you'll read the cause is a nerve (the median nerve) at the top of the wrist/palm which because of inflammation becomes compressed & causes the sensation you're describing & radiates up the arm &, if advanced, to the shoulder. I had CT release back in 2013 in my left, prior to this nerve conduction tests indicated I also had in my right but less severely than my left so it was this which was operated on. Only last week I had repeat tests done which show now my right had advanced & needs release. It also confirmed peripheral neuropathy, legs, which I describe like a low grade fizzing on resting & the vibration of a tuning fork when walking. Sound familiar or do you think yours feels different?
It sounds like you're really struggling since losing your job. I wish you'd have found us before being dismissed from your job because you have rights under the Disability Discrimination Act & some of our members are really clued up on this. Your immediate income is a little more difficult for us to help with but your local Welfare Rights Officer will (your Town Hall will have contact details). You could see if you're eligible to apply for PIP too citizensadvice.org.uk/benef.... Other benefits may be available to you.
I hope some of this helps. If there's anything else our experience as a group may be able to help you with just so, we've lots of advice we can share now you've found us. 🙂
Thank you for the reply nomoreheels i have been told it is not CT i have had nerve conduction 2 weeks ago and have been called back tomorrow morning for more nerve conduction stuff and also after that they are giving me something called
electromyography they told me last time i was loosing use of my right arm and getting weaker and the consultant will need to see me. And my vibration i can only describe it as a mobile phone inside my leg buzzing very strange indeed so lost at min thank you so much for your help regards Simon
Simon my arm looked like a balloon! I had nerve conduction test done and they said no to carpal tunnel but then I got diagnosed with RA my arm hand and wrist is still swollen and last letter from Rheummy has it now recorded as RA and secondary carpal tunnel! My guess is the swelling is squeezing on the nerves...If you have swelling might still be a carpal issue in the mix! M x
Hi Marie no not carpal tunnel been back today for more nerve conduction they also stuck needles in my muscles they are now going to look at neck and back issues. I already have RA and that's bad enough but getting more and more strange stuff going on there looking into fibromyalgia also I guess I just have to wait that's the trouble with nhs but that's all I can get can not afford private or I would. I should of listened to my Nan years ago to save money for a rainy day ! Bless her she passed now but how right she was ! And how wrong was I beer and women not saving thanks Marie x
