another thing to add to being in the rehab the time you have to wait for nurses to get you out of the toilet its not to bad during the day more nurses but sometimes you still have to wait night shift is terrible two nurses to 26 patients so you can just imagine how long you have to wait at least at home you don't have that issue

I'm sure the nurses do the best they can. It can't be great for you but at least you are benefitting from the support they offer .

Just concentrate your energies on making the must of said support, before you go home - it may not feel much easier when you get there?

Take care

If you have to wait for nurses in the hospital to get you to the toilet, how would you be able to manage at home? Do you have people at home ready to help immediately?

I know that its difficult being dependent on others - and embarrassing when you can't wait. I know after one operation I wet the bed waiting for the bedpan - absolutely soaked it, but the nurses just took it in their stride, got me out, changed the bed and got me back in.
