I have been so exhausted since I restarted MTX in January, even after a three week break in April. MTX does make me sick for a few days, but even once the nausea and overall feeling horrible goes away I am still exhausted and not wanting to really do anything, which I know is not good. I need to stay as active as I can so I do not lose the ability too. I have tried a little caffeine in the morning to help but it just makes me more tired. Anybody else have this issue orany possible solutions??

Hello, sorry to hear you are suffering with fatigue. Would love to be able to give some good advice but I am in a very similar situation.
Are you on the injections or tablet form? The tablets caused a lot of nausea for me, and although the injections haven't got rid of it, it ha definitely eased off slightly. Might be worth discussing that with them if you are on tablets.
Also, do you take your folic acid tablets on the days you don't take MTX? To be honest I used to be very slack with them as I didn't see the point but have recently been taking them everyday to see if it helps.
Just try and do little and often. Don't push yourself too much on the good days, as it can take even longer to bounce back. Try to get outside and go for short walks every day, that really helps me!
I am on tablets, and yes nausea is worse on them then injections, but unfortunately for me the headache I get on injections is horrible. I am in college, we are on break right now but I was in classes when I had to restart MTX so my Doc and I went with nausea over headache. I take 5mgs folic acid everyday except MTX day. I do try but since college let out and my pool pass expired, dance and singing lessons ended for the season I have just been to tired to try and find new things. walks outside are not so great, I am photosensitive and have vicious allergys to basically outside. I try and not be out unless I have too or I am going to the hot springs. I am also completely horrible at not doing too much, like walked on a broken ankle for 7 months, thought it was a sprain or strain, no pain no gain is a big moto in my family, dancers and all that jazz.
Hello, I take the tablet form and it wipes me out too. I find the only thing to do is take a little nap now and then, difficult if you have work to do. I have tried strong coffee and it does work short term but then I find it can upset my tum if I don't eat. I also find eating slow energy release foods like a banana helps too.
