I am new today. I am 41 single and have RA for 3 years. I had to stop biologic's due to getting MRSA. I was in the hospital 11 days. Had to learn to walk again. Wheel chair, walker to cane. Lost 30 days on a NEW JOB. They paid my insurance and kept my job, love them.. I had not been back to my Rheumatologist for 1 yr, but I had a terrible flair that my primary doctor could not get under control and I have a physical job at a medical office with patients. I was using crutches and couldn't do my job. I went and seen her. She said xrays: bilateral knee narrowing and LT tear in meniscus, arthritis in both thumbs and big toes. I never had any measurable arthritis this bad before. So she knew of my history with MRSA and said I am sending a RX in for Actemra, a biologic. I just called my infection disease control doctor and he said no to the biologic. WHAT? What do I do for the RA? I just let it keep eating me away and my boy friend leaves me due to I am going to be a cripple for the rest of my life? What would you do??????? HELP.
Thank you, Anna Ray

If you are clear of the MRSA I would see your Rheumatologist asap.
Oh my heavens, you are going thru hell right now. Please phone your rheumatologist for advice.
Are you sure your boyfriend will leave you , or are you just scared he will? Please give him time to absorb your situation. When you love someone, it's forever. If your love was ment to be, it will be. If he leaves, then good riddance to him. There are more fish in the sea and it's time to go fishing when you are stong enough. You are worthy of love, disabled or not.
My heart goes out to you, please get back in touch with your Rheumatologist is the only thing I can suggest, Sorry I cant be more help but had to say something, wishing you well...Phil Xx
