I have noticed that my eyes are ref each morning when I wake up. Some days I need to use cosine or other eye drops to clear them up. Eye doctor suggested I use drops for dry eyes, but those drops don't help red eyes. Could RA cause eyes to be Red?

You can get RA in your eye, could you get a referral for an ophthalmic consultant?
Some medications can cause you to get dry eyes and it could be they are getting irritated over night, you could try putting the dry eye drops in before bed.
I was dx with dry eyes last year by ophthalmic consultant, he confirmed it was RA related, I have to use Artlac gel at night and systane balance 3 times a day for life, this on top of glaucoma drops. It would be a good idea to ask your GP to refer you to find out what the problem is. All the best X
I have dry eyes, which makes them go red...... and it's part and parcel of the RA.
I don't have red nor dry eyes but over the past couple
Of months , my eyes sting like the have soap in them and are often sore and watery?

Yes they can. I have the same problem. They are red in the morning, because you haven't been blinking during the night, which causes them to dry out. I am currently using Optiva, prescribed by my GP. I only found out I had dry eyes, when I got Uveitis. One of the many side effects of meds and RA 😒
Sweetpolly2016, RA can cause it to get worse I don't know if you have heard of dry eye, it is another autoimmune disease. I have to put lubricant eye drops in my eyes. For me my eyes seem to be getting worse. See an eye doctor that is how I found out.
Have a good day.....Danna
Thanks, I do need to go see an eye doctor for this.
