Me and my dry eyes again

Had eye test today. Need new lenses. Excellent optician told me my eyes don’t produce many tears and those it does evaporate quickly. Eyes otherwise healthy and she gave me several tips (omega 3, regular application of drops/gels and persistent use of warm eye compress) all of which you kind people mentioned. It’s worse when I’m flaring: but isn’t everything? Take care everyone.

I had my tear ducts cauterised to stop the tears going straight through which helps, but yesterday my eyes were sore and i used my drops on them a lot mind you i was suffering from over doing it since our holiday. I have Sjorgens also which helps. I have a good optician also and he will see me anytime i have a worry and thanks to my problems he has a vast knowledge of RA/Sjorgens and all that goes with it. I think when he goes to conferences he checks things out that might help me and he talks to others about my case as well. So it is helpful having a good optician,xxx

Yes I have this too, do your eyes sometimes become mildly blood shot?

Not that I’ve noticed. Just keep binging the drops in!

After you have used the hot compresses be sure to massage your eyelids with your clean fingers. Glad you’ve been sorted out. Dry eyes sounds like nothing much - until you’ve got them and really they are a big deal.
