NRAS Group Meetings— Week Commencing 3rd April 2017

North West NI NRAS Group

The North West NRAS group have arranged their meeting dates for 2017 and these will be held quarterly in Lecture Theatre 1 in the MDEC/Trust HQ building at Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Glenshane Road, Londonderry BT47 6SB (free parking directly outside the Lecture Theatre) from 7pm - 8:30pm.

Monday 3rd April—Guest speaker Ms Brenda Burns, Programme Co-ordinator at 'Managing the Challenge'. Brenda will talk about this innovative self management programme focusing on pain management, relaxation, exercise, diet, building confidence and relationships with health professionals.

Chesterfield NRAS Group

2017 group meetings are held at Bridge Street Methodist Church, (also known as Pilsley Methodist Church) Bridge Street, Pilsley, Chesterfield, S45 8HE on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

4th April - Sue, Pamper Beautician will be doing hand massages

Bolton NRAS Group

This NRAS group is coordinated by NRAS Members with the help and support of Senior Sister Beverley Travers. 2017 meetings will take place on the first Tuesday of each month (February - December) at Bolton One, Moor Road, Bolton, BL3 5BN from 2.00pm-4.00pm.

4th April - Annual General Meeting

Gloucester NRAS Group

This group meets in the Function Room at Oxstalls Tennis Centre, Plock Court, Gloucester, GL2 9DW (plenty of free parking on site) on the first Wednesday of every other month (April to December) from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

5th April - Talk: 'Applying for PIP / Benefits' presented by: Norman Gardner, Bureau Manager, Gloucester & District Citizens Advice Bureau

Warwickshire NRAS Group

The Warwickshire NRAS Group will hold all future meetings at Friends Meeting House, 28 Regent Place, Rugby, CV21 2PN (free on-road parking after 6pm) from 7:00pm - 9:00pm on the first Wednesday of each month. Meetings are

organised and run by local NRAS volunteers Kate, Shona and Fran.

5th April - One of the members of the group is delivering a craft event: sculpture with wire

South Lakeland & District NRAS Group

The South Lakeland and District NRAS Group are currently holding meetings at The Castle Street Centre, Kendal, LA9 7AD.

Wednesday 5th April - 6:30pm - 8:00pm - Guest Speaker: Maggie Thorne, Rheumatology Specialist Nurse from Westmorland General Hospital

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
