Have a look at the treatment options on the NRAS website. Then draw up a pros and cons list for each one for YOU. There is no "best treatment" - only the one that works best for you /suits you the best.
It is hard work, but at least you will feel better able to chose!
Are they suggesting that you join a trial? As otherwise it is rare that you would be started on Golimumbab which is a biologic.
Under the NHS there is a fairly strict approach to the different drugs that can be offered to patients, and when. So basically you have to start with the traditional drugs and it's only if they don't work and your disease is still way out of control that you will be offered biologics.
However, research trials are a way to offer patients combinations of drugs that aren't normally allowed. From the photo it looks as if the piece of paper in the background is the info on the trial perhaps? Read it carefully as it should set our timescales and so on. And what the monitoring is, and what you have to agree to. It will also make clear whether or not this is a double blind study - which means that you may get one drug or a placebo.
I had to do the same.I think it's bad as they are the professionals and know better. It's just more wait til next appointment
