Well i went to my hospital appointment today. Came home so down i should have stayed in bed. I got told my tummy pain was nothing to do with RA and to get some gel to rub on my fingers. Leg pain tummy pain and finding life hard as my husband has MS is nothing to do with RA. This is why i don't see the point of going to Dr or hospitals.

Me too! Been waiting in pain for 2 years whilst they decide how to treat me. Everytime I go I leave feeling I'm never going to get any help and u have to wait months in pain for appt.

It really doesn't sound like you are getting on well with your hospital. What treatment are you on? As could that be upsetting your tummy? I agree with other that perhaps talk to your GP about trying another hospital.

I am on methotrexate sulfa steroids and others. To be fair I have never seen this doctor before and probably won’t see him again. I feel a little better today and will go and see my GP. Thank you. Xx

It may not be medical help that you need? Is that what they are saying? Do you need support at home to look after yourself and your partner with MS? Perhaps the next step is talking to your GP - or if you have one, the social worker?

Hi, please don’t be disheartened, there are super hospitals and consultants out there and I hope you find one soon.

I have presented my hospital with a number of complex challenges, even involving surgery, and they have been just fantastic. Departments have worked together to offer me the best care they can under the NHS.

I pray you will find this support soon and don’t give up!

Warmest wishes.

I agree with the others it sounds like your tummy pain could be down to stress of looking after both your husband with ms and having to cope with your own illness. Maybe you should ask for a little help, to give yourself a little respite, to rid some of the stress you are under.

I am quite strong and can stand most pain but you know your own body and I just can’t get to grips with it at the moment. I will talk with my GP as I was putting it off till I had my app yesterday in hope they could do a scan or X-ray.. Thank you so much. Xx

You might eant to try your GP for other options, but please do not accept what little you have been offered. There are people out there who can help you.
