NRAS Group Meetings— Week Commencing 6th March 2017
Chesterfield NRAS Group
2017 group meetings are held at Bridge Street Methodist Church, (also known as Pilsley Methodist Church) Bridge Street, Pilsley, Chesterfield, S45 8HE on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
7th March - Guest speaker: Sheila Dowker, Occupational Therapist from Chesterfield Royal Hospital
Mid Cornwall NRAS Group
The Mid Cornwall NRAS group - PIRATES (people involved in RA training, education and support) meet at Carnon Downs Village Hall, Tregye Road, Carnon Downs, Truro TR3 6JQ every other month on a Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
8th March - Guest speaker Clare Jacklin, Director of External Affairs, NRAS will present: ‘50 Shades of RA’ - a look at the impact of RA on emotions and relationships
Weston-super-Mare NRAS Group
Meetings held in Conference Room 1 at The Campus, Highlands Lane, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 7DX monthly on a Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
8th March - Guest speaker: Ash from Avon & Somerset will be giving a talk on fire safety and vulnerable people
Worcester NRAS Group
Bi-monthly meetings take place on Wednesdays between 6.45pm to 8.30pm at the Lyppard Hub in Ankerage Green, Warndon Villages, Worcester WR4 0DZ.
8th March - Guest speaker: Carlene Hill, Self Management Programme Coordinator. Carlene will be delivering information about the Patient Self-Management Programme - helping you live well: The Patient Self-Management
Programme has been created to support individuals with long term conditions across Worcestershire to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to take responsibility for their health and live a more active and independent live with a long term condition.
North Essex NRAS Group
This group meet on the second Thursday of every other month at the St. John's Church Community Centre, St. John's Close, Colchester, CO4 0HP (parking available on site) from 7:00pm-8:30pm.
9th March - Making sense of your symptoms and how to present them to your rheumatologist - one person's solution. Plus - recycle your unwanted Christmas presents in our swapping game! It is a bit of fun and who knows you could go home with something you really like! Just bring along any unwanted gift ready wrapped.
West Middlesex NRAS Group
This group meets at Hillingdon Baptist Church Halls, Patterson Room, Hercies Road, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB10 9LS (to access the nearest car park go in to Auriol Drive and follow the road to the car park at rear). Meetings run from
2:00pm - 4:00pm quarterly on a Thursday.
9th March - 'Living with RA' - an informal support /sharing meeting
Gwent NRAS Group
All future meetings of the Gwent NRAS group will be held on the second Saturday of alternate months at Caerphilly Library, The Tywn, Caerphilly, CF83 1JL from 9:30am. Small amount of parking opposite, with disabled spaces outside the Library. Parking also behind the Castle (an attractive walk round the moat 5-10mins) or by the station (access from Van Road for free spaces).
11th March - Guest speaker: Jade Baxter will present - 'Eating for Health'
You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
