A photo of my partner Terry and I at our first Reading festival back in 2012.... this was the year I also bribed my nephew to take a bite of a whole red chilli in order for me to buy his ticket for him..... deep down he knew I'd buy it for him anyway as I'd been taking him to gigs since he was 15, but he played along with the game anyway.... I think the most disappointing thing for him that weekend was turning up and seeing Terry and I in matching odd socks and crazy hats,.,,, at that point he hadn't been to enough festivals to realise it's all part of the fun.... 5 yrs later and he's more than au fait with the dress code for festivals.... I'm just glad I did my part in introducing him to the joys of live music/gigs ππ

In honour of my last post....
Great story and lovely pick, i hope he really enjoyed the cold cure, sorry i meant Chile.
He didn't enjoy the chilli at all.,,,drank 3 pints of coke to try and cool his mouth down, and because he'd listened to us saying about the chilli not being fiery,he then wouldn't believe us when we told him he should be drinking milk to make it better..,, I think he was in agony for about 5 hrs after that π The joys of being a great auntie..... all his friends at school could never believe he was off to gigs on school nights or weekends, and obv free of charge, because he had such a super cool aunt π I even took a couple of his friends with us as his birthday present when we saw foos at Milton Keynes about 5/6 yrs ago....he'd only just gotten into his music, and as they are my all time favourite band,he was getting into them too - with korn a close second,he'd never seen them live before,so I couldn't resist treating him - even years later I'd meet up with him at festivals, give him his spending money for the weekend,or even buy dinner for us and his close friend that I've been to many gigs with now,at a restaurant on the way in,and his friends would just shake his head in disbelief - it took Sam years to finally admit what a cool aunt I am,and how very lucky he'd been - while his poor friend was at college and keeping a job down for money,Sam just had it handed to him on a plate, and his friends had been telling him how lucky he was for years!! I've always said that while I've got it they can have it,and now I haven't they can't π Although we all know we'd move heaven and earth to help family if they needed it,even if it left you potless at the end!!
Gorgeous, you look so happy x
Yep,the good ole days before diagnosis.... and it was literally days - this was at end of Aug and I got diagnosed on 4th October!!
Still,I'm going in the right direction again now though,so fingers crossed, once I can start exercising properly again, and loose some of the added weight,I'll be back to crowdsurfing in no time ππ
Love it.
Crazy days eh! It looks as if you had a blast. We all need some crazy in our lives
Yes we do... except in my case at the moment it's in the form of a certified nutter for a partnerπ(His words, not mine!). I'm determined that now I can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel, and the drugs do seem to have started working, that I'm going to grab every chance of going back to the 'old' me whenever I can!!π
Grab life in great big chunks as often as possible I say. We never know what's to come so enjoying what you have while you have is vital.
