I just started Benepali in the middle of December and pain wise, I'm so much better than I was. However I'm still struggling a bit with fatigue. Like you, I'm really hoping it starts to kick in soon!!
I've been on it since August and although my Ra had improved it's starting to lose its grip pain wise and the fatique hasn't changed since I went on it, I was at the Rheumy nurse last month and she wants to give it another couple off months but I have my doubts , I'm also on 20mgs off mtx , hopefully it works for you as everybody's different
I started on Benepali 5 weeks ago and initially felt very spaced out and tired. However I now take the injection as soon as I get up and this has helped. I am beginning to enjoy the reduction in pain and the side effects are ebbing. I also take Methotrexate 25mg and Hydroxychloroquine and Sulfasalazine and Prednisolone. Hoping I can reduce these other medications eventually although I understand that they like to keep you on the methotrexate? Fingers crossed for us all that we get some relief from this horrible condition
Only managed 4 weeks on Benapali now have allergic reaction to it sames as all other drugs theyvhave tried on me
Been 14 months with this aweful RA and nothing works except Prednisolone of course these are not supposed to be long term. Try getting off them. !! Horrendous side effects too. I am down to 5mg but guess they will up them again next week when I go to Rhumy clinic. Arghhhh so fed up and depressed.
