Yes, there are a couple of research studies looking at these sorts of things. But I think still at research stage and I've not heard of any open trials yet.
As helix says, it's all at a very early stage. My view on side effects is that if I don't read about them too much, they don't worry me. I make sure I know the symptoms of the most severe ones, but thankfully I never had to deal with any of those. The and ability to control my life and the relief I get from the medication far outweighs any side effects. Good luck on your journey.
So true and I don't read the PIL now as my my GP friend said 8 people died last year from taking Aspirin and most still swallow that and never think about it. lol
I look at it that if 10% get side effects then 90 % don't so the odds are that all will be well. But I can imagine the rest if it I've read about them and taking at night is a good idea too.
This is very interesting to me at the moment as I think Methotrexate is causing me dreadful depressive days and anxiety. I can usually manage day to day living by using avoidance tactics but I've recently changed jobs and am no known as a Remote Worker - but still office based. My team are all 80 miles away, which means communications can be very difficult.
So I took notice of the current debate around the contraceptive pill impacting moods and depression.
I would be very interested in any research underway - maybe in other countries, as the Netherlands seem to be far more advanced in these things.
Does anyone know of any research papers etc?
Thanks
Sorry - Had not heard of that..
