I feel like giving up......

The weather here is dull wet and miserable and so am i. I try to put up decorations and fail miserably. Everything i touch falls through my fingers i drop everything i try to do. Even pressing the keys on my laptop i have to redo just about everything i trype. I know the weather depresses me , but this feeling a failure because of whats wrong with isn't helping. Hubby is suffering with stress so the dr says and yes i am the cause of a lot of it as he worries so much about me.

I am just tired at the moment of everything.........

Silvi, I can sympathise with both of you. I'm a carer for my husband and know how stressful it can be. I also have RD on metho. not been able to take it for the last 3 weeks due to chest infection/virus, now my husband has it and as he has a lung disease that's not good. Try to think of all the other gpod things in your life and stay positive. Sending you gentle hugs.

Chin up sylvi🙂You can do things- albeit slowly. Put some Christmas tunes on or watch a good Christmas movie - that'll get you in the spirit. I watched Fred Claus the other day- great movie 🎄x

Hi Sylvi, sorry to hear you're not so good today. The weather certainly is miserable which does affect how we feel, you're not miserable just frustrated and not feeling as good as you were. You certainly are not a failure, just struggling like some of us. You do so much to help others, helping hubby at the allotment, supporting your daughter at her parades, visiting your sick friend and of course giving support and advice to all of us on here. Even when you are finding things hard yourself you continue to help others. You can do the practical things when you fee able so don't feel bad. Rest up and you may feel brighter tomorrow.

Big hug. Sue. X

Sending hugs.

This year my hubby, who usually puts up all the decorations himself, is still recovering from his infection (hospital tomorrow). We are decorating is stages.

Stage one : tidy lounge, done on Sunday.

Stage two : get tree out of shed, done on Monday.

Stage three : decorate tree, done today.

Stage four : the hangings in hall, to be done on Friday, together with my hospital appointment late pm and the windows.

I hope that you feel better soon.

Jacqui

Jacqui that is why i have started so early we haven't even got the trees out yet and there are four of them to do which this year will be done one tree a day. I have been doing a little bit at a time, and yesterday was just a bad day and i get very frustrated with myself and i get very down when it doesn't go well.I am glad your taking it slowly doing your decorations darling. I hope your hubby gets on alright and you as well darling.xxxx

Hi Sylvi ,I'm late to this post, only just read it!

I'm so sorry you've been feeling so rubbish, life's bumpy road eh! The things your worrying about getting done really doesn't have to have such a priority in your life at the moment. It can just wait, so what if you only have 1 tree, most of us do anyway. I'm sure you already know that the most important thing is our relationships with other's. Cherish and focus on these and the rest is just nonsense really. I hope that this is all old news now and your feeling a bit better, if not I'm going to be sending you and your hubby and big hug 😊😊

Thank you darling i thought the other day i feel an awful lot worse this morning. I have already sobbed my heart in my hubbys arms,so i am hoping the tension will ease. If it doesn't no trees will get decorated its as simple as that darling. I will just rest and sleep.xxxxx

Sylvi, the Xmas decs can wait, just give yourself and hubby some time for each other. That's what matters the most - taking care of each other through difficult times. Take care both of you, xxxx

Sorry you are feeling down Sylvi. I know what you mean about the hands, I spend my life at work redoing all my typing hahaha I have just corrected this post too. I hope you can see a little bit of sunshine in your life soon that helps you feel a little brighter about life. I commiserate with you though I am very much starting to feel like this too.

Hey Silvi - Have you tried Dragon or one of the other programs that will let you talk and it interprets it onto the screen? It is called "Dragon Naturally Speaking". It won't help with anything else, but it might help with your sore fingers when you are trying to type..

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time right now and now you are adding in worrying about your husband, and that makes it worse.

Just know that we are here, even if all we can do it send nice thoughts

Late to this Sylvi, been busy arranging funeral & related things but don't beat yourself up & crying is a huge release when everything's got too much. Christmas never arrives at our house until Christmas week, a compromise at that because my family tradition was decking the tree on Christmas Eve! So, you've 3 weeks at least to be behind us hohoho!!! Sending hugs for you to feel more up to things soon. ((x))
