Well got an appointment for pain. Clinic on 30 th Nov anybody know what it involves at all ?? Thanxs

They will go through your medical history and what your on and hopefully they will offer you a lidocaine infusion fot the pain and if they do you will feel a big difference,i certainly have with my back pain darling.xxxx

Our pain clinic did a course after initial consultation which included group meetings with sessions including presentation on pain methods drugs & side effects, one on mindfullness and relaxation with pain (which really helped my sleep) and a physio did sections on pacing yourself and exercise/stretches to ease your joints. Some of it was very helpful but I noticed attendees all different and each got something from it. Since I did follow up meeting which included doing some crafts/artistic/literary stuff to take your mind off pain it was very good. Hope you find your appointment helpful.

Pain clinic will go through your history - again ! Make sure you write everything down before you go, so you don't forget anything. If necessary they can offer you a tens machine, they can organise a nerve block if necessary. Don't worry, they aren't monsters and will go through all your pain relief, then possibly offer you different painkillers to try.
