Good morning to you all and i hope you all had a lovely Christmas day and you got all you wished for. well i got more than i was expecting. I hadn't asked for anything this year as all i wanted was my health back which of course wasn't going to happen, but i did get some lovely surprises, most of all i got a new laptop which i wasn't expecting as our Grace's other half was going to get mine fixed. So to get a new w=one was a complete surprise to me. I had five lots of perfume. Colouring books and pens a canvas to colour in as well. I thought my surprise for Bob a butchers block for the middle of the kitchen was the biggest surprise but the laptop blew me away. We had a lovely day over at our daughter's home. Her partner cooked the lunch and he made a great job of it. He said he wanted to do it to give my Bob a rest and he did us all proud. There was more food than we could all eat. He did himself proud and he makes a good other half to our Grace. Our son and daughter-in-law-came with us and the car was loaded when we went over there and it was loaded when when we came home.
Well i hope you all had a good time and are looking forward to the new year and better health for all of us.xxxxx

Sounds like you had a great time Sylvi - it is great having get togethers when someone else is taking the responsibility for the cooking. Wishing you and your family the best of health and happiness n 2025 ❤️
It took hubby and I two hours to gather up the Santa presents for the kids and set them out. I probably did go overboard but it's the last year of Santa and most of it was small things I'd gathered up.We got to bed at two...after I'd remembered there were characters filled with sweet for the kids Hidden under there. I thought I'd gotten them last year and forgot them but when I looked at the best before date it must have been the year before. I hurt my shoulder in the process so had a few minutes lying with breathing exercises to get over the pain. 🙈😂
Second child was helping the neighbours milk their cows so he was up at five. I hadn't been able to sleep so turned off hubby's alarm and drove son five minutes over the road. When I returned I saw lights in the living room so think youngest son had gotten up to see the Santa stuff...he still believes but the barking dogs alerted him to my return so I didn't catch him.
Hubby had woken and was very confused as to why his alarm hadn't gone off...I switched it off and were oldest son was.
Back to bed, still no real sleep up at 6.46 yo walk dogs before collecting son at milking but he rang and said would be ready early so chatted to middle daughters about stocking presents in their room then everyone got to see what Santa brought around eight.
Dogs walked, showered, dressed and off to church for 10.30 with mince pie ( brilliantly made by eldest daughter as I wasn't able this year and had mincemeat made from last year) in hand. It was a bit of a rush but lovely .
Dinner etc got made and I went to bed 9pm to catch up on sleep as I was on call boxing day. It was unexpectedly quiet so eldest son and I built the basket ball ner Santa brought youngest son.
That sounds like a lovely Christmas was had by all and what a great present, a new laptop. Glad you were able to enjoy the festivities without having to worry about cooking a large dinner! Xxx
It was a lovely day seeing as i was worried seeing as it is only the second time in 41ys that we went out. \the first time was shortly after we got married. We have never been away since the children were born. As it turned out i needn't have worried as it was a lovely day. Yes the laptop was a surprise.xxxx
Sylvi that sounds like the perfect Christmas Day and how lovely to be spoilt and looked after so well. I enjoy reading your posts so keep it up! I wish you and Bob a happy and healthy 2025 xx
