Err, not a good idea to try other people's drugs. Even if it's a great combination for person X there may be medical reasons why not a good combination for person Y. Do talk to GP about this.

I know, I know! I was so desperately struggling with pain I was tempted! Waiting on call back from nurse - no appointments left today and things are no better by as instructed, adding cocodomol to the gabapentin I already take is not even touching the sides! M x

I've recently had a bad spell as have three damaged lumbar vertebrae, so know how desperate it can be. Eventually my OH managed to get me into a car and out again to see doctor. But yes I would have swallowed my whole medicine cabinet if only I could have stood long enough to get to it!

What if they interact ? in a bad way ! Lidocaine is used for other things isn't it, like heart problems and an aesthetic? so I know its your choice but I think ask your GP of course but taking something as major as this without medical advice is folly.

I am on methotrexate and I have lidocaine patches. I do find them helpful. They are very expensive for me so I don't use them unless I am really bad. I have used them on my feet knees and back. They are supposed to numb the area of the patch. I feel they help some.

I suffer severe migraines, osteoarthritis , Osteoperosis, RA. I know how you feel. I am afraid I will hurt mys of someday. I get so overwelmed by pain that I do not remember what I have taken. I have been overdosed at hospital a few times as well. Marie66, have you considered canabis? There are many different forms, eatables, vaporizer, oils, tea ...it does not take pain away just keeps your mind from focusing on it. I recently was introduced to , Pheonix Tears. It is a condensed oil you put on a piece of bread and swallow. It puts me to sleep. This allows my body to rest so it is easier to handle. I also started TM, Transcendental Meditation, Biofeedback also work well for me. I worry about all the meds we are taking.mdoes it make it harder for your body to heal itself? There are no quick solutions except when you have had enough go to ER for a shot. It is very hard on other systems in your body, you need to find what works for you. Big Hug, hope you find relief as soon as possible. My mantra is , this too shall pass...stay strong..

Hi guys wee update!

In the end I could hardly walk, bend or move my lower spine. GP prescribed 30/500 cocodomol on top of everything else and my urine sample results came back 4 days later...major infection so now on antibiotics 2 pills 12 hrs apart for 3 days. I'm hoping now the infection is being dealt with the spinal pain may subside! M x
