Hi it's probably the worst place to get pain and it's bad enough when we have toothache so I know how you feel just try and hang in there and hopefully it will pass and I know it's easier said than done hope your better soon
I had that pain too during the peak of my suffering. Yes, when the mtx started to work, the pain had slowly reduced. I took only liquid and very soft food for a year though. Just give yourself sometimes to get over it.
Hi, it's the worst pain isn't it. I lay on a warm hot water bottle. For me it relives the pain a bit. It's only happened to me a few times & it's hell but for me it only lasts a couple of days, let's hope yours settles down too. Wish you better
Hello, for all those who suffer jaw pain, your doc needs to do this simple test by putting his fingers on the jaw bone where it attaches from the top to meet the bottom & get you to open & close your mouth. My doc did this & I'm sorry to say but I lurch at him, luckily he moved.
Said I know what's wrong & sent me to see a consultant at the hospital, who in turn told me after a head scan that my jaw was out of place. The proper name for this kind of pain is Temporomandibular disorder. Phew it's a mouthful & the only way it relieves me for a few months are injections in the chewing muscle of the jaw for me. There are other kinds of things can be done for this, but as usual it was put down to the Fybromyliga. But for me it started off with Bottox injections every 6 months to but now it's Steroid injections every 6 months. So go see your doctor.
