Hi

I have been suffering from severe dry eyes due to hydroxychloroquine which i was told by the consultant would be a classic symptom the only thing you can do is keep using drops (Hycosan) seems to work really well for me but can be quite expensive and you cant get on prescription, annual eye test i would strongly advise while your on Hydrox as my optician thinks this may have caused a small abrasion on my left eye also i find regular soaking with a damp warm flannel can ease the eyes.

I use baby shampoo to clean my eyelids. I also have cobamer gel (not sure of the spelling) to put in my eyes. I have rosacea which affects my eyelids and the skin around my nose and central area of my face which is made worse by the steroids I take, but I'm also on azathioprine.

I have found a big difference in my eyes since I stopped hydroxocloroquine and that was only 3 weeks ago so it was definite that drug that was giving me eye problems

several years ago i was dx with dry eyes so bad they had to scrap them. Then we tried several eye drops i had allergic reaction to one they prescribed. If you take Flax seed they will help your eyes a lot, matter of fact i don't have dry eyes no more since taking it.
