It,s 4,30 just me and the dog.last visit to rheumy crp 119 was a total mess.methortrexate inj. Raised to 15mg,plus oral steroids of 7.5 daily the relief is bliss.downside I,m sat here every morning 4.30 wide awake. Steroids for me are a life saver but very little sleep.anyone else in this position?

I remember that! Would be wide awake at 4 am and buzzing to get going. I had steroid injections so they would soon wear off. I decided to just relax and go with it, I didn't find I was tired later in the day so I just used the time to do some online shopping, browse internet etc. It was just before Christmas a couple of years ago and I got all my Christmas shopping done online while everyone was asleep.

Been off steroids for over a year now and now sleep like a log! Try not to worry about it, once the meds start working you hopefully won't need the steroids any more.

Good day Ruby, I managed to stay in bed until 6. I had a early night (shattered) but woke up 11-30 not really slept since. I wish I had a dog to keep me company, like your dogs name,Craig it must be really mischievous.

Regards Mike

Same here three dogs, big labradoodle,11year old cavalier and on a steroid induced high went and got a Frenchie pup.so you can guess what it,s like in my house !love them to bits, but boy is it hard work.fortunately Frenchie is a lapdog, but doodle is a noisy handful.as I type she is doing her nut at the postman,,,there's no danger of stiffening up as they keep me on my toes. I must be crazy, one more thing this disease does to you,you lose all sense of reason.🐾🐾🐾🐾

But I always feel that the upside is that I can get lots done! It doesn't matter about the sleep, the relief of the pain and the "feeling ill" is just so good. And the prospect of coming down gradually again with better control of the RD.

When I was on steroids I would take an alpralozam .5mg once in a while. It helped a LOT. Didn't check with the Doc- didn't care. It may help you but do check with your team. Alice
