hi would like help with my high liver enzymes ,

what can i do or take to help ,?

have RA

I have problems with mine too, I had years of being told not to drink so much lol, daf and hing was/is that I don't drink apart from Christmas lol and after many arguments with my GPs and it turned out that it was my Fibromyalgia that was causing all the wrong results hehehe and then no more bad results

We would need rather more information in order to be able to say anything helpful, eg what drugs are you on? Do you drink and if so how much? How high is high?

i take Orencia,injection for my Ra,

simvastatin for my colstrural

oxybutynin for bladder

premarin for mood swings night sweats

tramadol for pain

no smoke quit about 10 years

stopped drinking about 6 month

when was drinking about 2 beers a night .

I have the same problem. It was suggested to me by a friend not a medical person to drink lemon barley water or water with lemon as apparently lemon has properties that help. I tried it as I thought it couldn't do any harm and also made me drink a lot more water. Maybe coincidence but my blood tests last week came back excellent. Might be worth a try.

Its very common for statins to cause elevated liver enzymes. As lonh as they're not too high they usually are just monitored.

My dr told me to cut all carbs except for vegetables and some fruit as too many are stored in the liver and can cause enzymes issues. It's hard but when I do it right and cut all grains, including cereal, and anything made with flour, my enzymes go down.

my RA have not told me to cut foods out ,but i have cholesterol but its not to high he put me on simvastatin, now i was told that this drug will make your liver read elevated? any way i watch what i eat love all veg's .

Sandwiches were the hardest thing for me. Maybe for you it is the cholesterol drug, for me it isn't since I don't take any. Changing my diet was the only thing to have an effect on my numbers.
