NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 7th March 2016

Great Yarmouth NRAS Group

The Great Yarmouth & Waveney NRAS Group meet in the ‘Buzz Room’ of the Louise Hamilton Centre, James Paget Hospital, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, NR31 6LA from 5:30pm-7:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings will sometimes alternate between a guest speaker and social meetings, please see below for details:

8th March - Social meeting

Mid Somerset NRAS Group

Meetings are held at the Taunton Rugby Club, Hyde Lane, Bathpool, Taunton TA2 8BU.

Tuesday 8th March - 7pm - Dr Madhi Abusalameh, Rheumatology Registrar will present: 'RA and the Heart'

Oxford NRAS Group

Meetings are held in the Lecture Theatre at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Windmill Road, Oxford OX3 7LD on Tuesdays every other month from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

8th March - Guest speaker: Dr Lesley Ward will present: Stretching, Breathing and Relaxing using Gentle Yoga

North West NI NRAS Group

The North West NRAS group have arranged their meeting dates for 2016 and will be meeting quarterly on a Tuesday in the Lecture Theatre in the MDEC/Trust HQ building at Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Glenshane Road, Londonderry BT47 6SB (free parking directly outside the Lecture Theatre, for a site map please contact NRAS) from 7pm onwards.

8th March - Guest speaker: Dr Noel Boyle, GP, will present: 'Diagnosis and Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis within General Practice'

Mid Cornwall NRAS Group

The Mid Cornwall NRAS group - PIRATES (people involved in RA training, education and support) meet at Carnon Downs Village Hall, Tregye Road, Carnon Downs, Truro TR3 6JQ from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

9th March – Carl Bricknall, Podiatrist will present 'Caring for your feet when living with RA'

Heart of England (Solihull) NRAS Group

This NRAS group meets on a Wednesday every other month at Broomfield Hall, Union Road, Solihull B91 3DH (The British Legion) from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. This is opposite the back entrance to Solihull Hospital.

9th March - Guest speaker: Professor Christopher Buckley, Head of Rheumatoid Arthritis Research at Birmingham University will do a talk on RA and a Q&A session

Weston-super-Mare NRAS Group

This group have a new meeting location! Meetings are now held in Conference Room 3 at The Campus, Highlands Lane, Weston-super-Mare, BS24 7DX monthly on a Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

March 9th - George Dellipiani from North Somerset Health Trainers will be talking about their free services to help people lose weight, give up smoking etc.

Worcester NRAS Group

Bi-monthly meetings take place on Wednesdays between 6.45pm to 8.30pm at the Lyppard Hub in Ankerage Green, Warndon Villages, Worcester WR4 0DZ.

9th March - Donna Dudley, Massage Therapist will present 'How massage can benefit you'

East Dorset NRAS Group

The East Dorset group meet socially for coffee from 3pm at Stewarts Garden Centre, Lyndhurst Road, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 4SA and also Haskins Garden Centre, Longham, Ferndown, Dorset BH22 9DG. Next meeting date and location: March 10th at Haskins.

Colchester NRAS Group

This group meet on the second Thursday of every other month at the St. John's Church Community Centre, St. John's Close, Colchester CO4 0HP (parking available on site) from 7:00pm-8:30pm.

10th March - Guest speaker: Mr Alfredo Gallone, Specialist Podiatrist will present - 'How to look after your feet with RA'

Gwent NRAS Group

All future meetings of the Gwent NRAS group will be held on the second Saturday of alternate months at Caerphilly Library, The Tywn, Caerphilly, CF83 1JL at 9:30am.

12th March - 'Finding reliable information about your condition'

You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
