I went to compare site and filled out the forms. You can declare your medical conditions and it will find insurance that you can have.

Not too bad. I needed an annual one. It cost £50 for European travel.

If you enter Insurance in the Search Healthunlocked box (top right) you might find it there along with other posts on the subject.

We had a bad experience using Staysure, an insurance intermediary who match you to insurance companies. My f-i-l was sold cover supplied by a German insurance company (we only found this out when my m-i-l was became ill & hospitalised). My h had one heck of a struggle to have his mum repatriated, Staysure didn't want to know & gave the phone number of the German insurance company for my h to deal with direct. After my h having daily conversations over three weeks they eventually agreed to an air ambulance then he had another battle as they would not fly her direct to the UK (an 81 year old seriously ill lady with a doctor & nurse but not her husband) into Germany, refuel then fly into Heathrow then ambulance up to our local hospital in the north west.

NB I suppose it's best to recommend an insurance company where you've had a positive experience if you've need to claim in any way, they're an unknown quantity if not!

Hi Callie someone on Facebook who had severe problems getting cheap insurance because of pre existing medical conditions said insurancewith.com are brilliant on prices even with pre existing conditions.

I am going on holiday next week. Tried the insurance company that was mentioned on here a while ago, but it was £139 for a 7 day cruise. I went onto comparethemarket.com and got the insurance for £28. And that was telling them about my rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia. It's definitely worth shopping around.
