When Bob and Grace got back from standard practise they picked me up and we went out to lunch.Nothing unusual in that you say. Well when we got to the club i thought it would be a good idea to go up the back of the canal and take photos of the geese that live there. Nothing unusual there then. Only i didn't get up the bank, i fell on my hands in the mud. I screamed out,my camera went into the mud my walkng stick went somewhere else. Grace dropped her handbag and Bob dropped my handbag and came to my rescue. My hands were covered in mud and how i didn't get any on my leggings is anyones guess. Anyway after they got me up and it was no easy task i can tell you. We went into the club toilets so i could clean my hands,Bob took my camera and cleaned that up as well. Then he says where are the car keys, they looked high and low for his bloody key so i went outside to look for it and he comes out and says he had found it in his shirt wrapped up in the hem. Don't ask as we don't know how he did that either. I bet i looked a right bloody site from the back while i was trying to get up and the mud wouldn't let me. Thankfully i don't think i am any worse than i was before i fell in the mud.xxxxx
I know the jokes are going to come...............

Aww poor thing! Sounds as though you were doing interesting things so you didnt deserve that. I hope you're OK and that nothing untoward has happened as a result.
Goodness me! What an adventure, not quite what I had in mind when I said 'you never know where the bus will take you!' Thank goodness you didn't fall in the canal. We went for a walk in the gardens of a nearby estate, very nice although we crossed a little humpback bridge and going down was very dodgy, then we did some shopping for a healthy tea I'm going to cook, I worked with someone like Bob, she had a rota and everyone in the family took turns shopping for and cooking a meal - she got Friday and bought fish and chips on her way home, after that we found a garden centre and bought a bird table, the first one we saw was nice, then I saw one that was only £10 more and was very beautiful but unfortunately when we got it to the cash point the reverse of the price tag had 'Sold, Paid and 21/1/16 ' on it - would you believe they sold it and left it in place for us to come along, not see the sold part because it had been turned around and then try to buy it. It was only pure luck that I turned the label round and saw it. Anyway we got the nice one and saved some money.
You should have a nice soak in the bath if you can to take away any aches and pains you might have picked up after rolling around the canal bank. Us photographers Dont half suffer for our art - I broke my arm taking photos on the beach up at Lindesfarne. ⛄️
Oh my i haven't done that, but i did beak my ankle doing my other pastime gardening. A friend of mine has broken her arm riding her bike. I will have a lovely hot bath later after my tea.xxxxx
Gardening! I'll add that to my list of unexpectedly dangerous pastimes
Enjoy your soak, my answer to everything is a nice soak in the bath - it used to drive the kids wild but I notice they actually do that now, they also use Vick's vapour rub too.
Yet when they were home and I suggested those cures they used to roll their eyes and tut! Enjoy the soak.
Just as well I wasn't there, I would have helped you but only when I had finished laughing. I know we shouldn't mock the afflicted but I have, I think as you, a perverse sense of humour and others misfortunes appeal to my rotten sense of humour, especially when I have been in the same situation, yes just like you. hehe
If you are like me when I fall, the first thing I try to do is jump up (whether I'm hurting or not!) and look around like nothing has happened. I'm so sorry you fell, but am so happy nothing was hurt! Sometimes we just have to laugh about such things.
