NRAS Group Meetings—Week Commencing 18th January 2016
Medway NRAS Group
18th January 2016 - 7-9pm
Venue: Gillingham Methodist Church, 100 Third Avenue, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 2LU (unfortunately, there is no car park but on street parking close by is available)
Guest speaker: Colin Waldock, Orthopaedic Practitioner and Physiotherapist will talk to the group about
physiotherapy, relaxation and gentle exercise for those coping with RA
Due to the groups' regular meeting venue closing at the end of 2015, the above is an interim venue just for January until the group coordinators can find a new permanent location for meetings.
Three Counties NRAS Group
This group meets at St. Francis Church Hall, 121 Upper Chobham Road, Frimley, Surrey, GU15 1EE bi-monthly on a Tuesday from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Meetings are open to anyone living with RA, JIA and inflammatory arthritis.
19th January - Guest speaker: Sara, Rheumatology Nurse at Frimley Park Hospital
Isle of Wight NRAS Group
Coffee Morning on Wednesday 20th January, 11am at Thompsons Plant and Garden Centre, Watery Lane,
Newchurch, PO36 0LX—all welcome.
Yeovil NRAS Group
The Yeovil NRAS group meetings are held at: The Studio Ninesprings Clinic, 70 Hendford, Yeovil, Somerset BA20 1UR. Parking available at rear, side and front of the building. In the event of these being full you can use the parking spaces in the road normally reserved for Hendford Lodge Medical Centre. Tina and Elaine co-ordinate this group and meet on the third Wednesday of every other month from 7:30pm.
20th January - Guest speaker: Clare Cockill, Osteoporosis Specialist Nurse
Plymouth NRAS Group
Phil and Rika co-ordinate this group and call themselves PADRAGS (Plymouth & District Rheumatoid Arthritis Group Support). The group meet monthly on a Thursday in the Health Education Room at Mount Gould Hospital, Plymouth PL4 7QD from 12-2pm, please see below for meeting dates.
21st January - Guest speaker: Nikki Day, Derriford Hospital Rheumatology Specialist Nurse will be answering any questions from those attending, such as blood test results, when we may need to stop taking certain medications, DAS scoring and other RA related questions that people may wish to have answers to.
You, your family, friends and healthcare professionals are all very welcome to attend and you don’t have to be a member of NRAS to attend a group meeting!
