Strange that they haven't contacted you - but yes I'd call them. With those numbers don't you feel rubbish as well? If I had a CRP of 151 I'd be on the floor.

Have you checked the units and the normal range? Sometimes the labs change the way they give the results, if so 151 could be the same as 15....

15 is probably mg/L, so just make sure that the units are identical before you panic! I would expect your GP to have contacted you if the results were way outside the normal range.

My CRP has been up as high as 160 several times this year but this was when I was having a severe reaction to an RA drug each time. I was extremely ill and in hospital on IV antibiotics. Are you sure you don't have a nasty infection because this could explain a very high CRP? It also seems strange to have a relatively normal ESR and such a high CRP - perhaps, as Matilda7 says - the lab has changed the way the results are measured? A CRP of 15 would still be marked as high on your test results as 0-10 is usually the norm for this test. Are you in a lot of pain and flaring with your RA just now?

I would ring and check. Better to be on the safe side in case there is some other problem

CRP is a very sensitive measurement and can be influenced by colds, infections etc but 151 is quite high.

Call straight away, if it's a problem with the test it needs rechecked. If not you need checked, simple as that. Good luck xx

I have never heard of a CRP that high! Better check it out. Good luck, Doreen
