Hi CTrigss

There are so many potential causes for sore eyes, that I think it would be best for you to speak to your doctor, especially if you think it could be a side effect, as you would need to get a medical opinion on whether to stop any medications.

If the eyes seem dry (which can make them sore and scratchy) this could be a condition called Sjögren's Syndrome, which people with RA are more prone to. There is a charity that deals with this, so it might be worth having a look at the information on their website and seeing if you think this might be the cause of it:

Hope you find out what's causing it and get some relief soon.

Kind regards

Victoria

Hello I concur with Victoria

See your GP, sore eyes may not be linked to your condition as such.

I have Psoriatic Arthritis and I suffer from skin bits on my eye lashes and lids, That is my story, so talk to your GP, then make an appointment and get your eyes checked

There are some very serious inflammatory eye conditions that can go alongside inflammatory arthritis, so best get to a doctor quickly. If your eyes are painful and light sensitive, then go to a specialist eye emergency clinic if there is one near you and tell them you have inflammatory arthritis and they will take it more seriously. It may just be conjunctivitis, but if it is something like scleritis or uveitis, then it needs treating quickly to ensure you avoid permanent damage.
